Video Instructions: https://www.loom.com/share/baa81e9e43d145b297f62f5ba199a55c
Step 1: Register for an Account on Bullion TP
(Skip Step if Already Completed)
Register by clicking “Sign Up” OR if you are already registered, Log In. You may also click “+Post a new listing” which if not logged in will take you to the Login screen where you can “Create a new account”.
Look for the buttons in the upper right corner of the screen for the “Sign up” button. The “Log in” and “+Post a new listing” button are right next to it if you are looking for those instead.
If you do not have an existing account and hit “Log In” or “+Post a new listing” you will be taken to this screen where you can “Create a new account” as well.
You can also sign up via Facebook if you’d like. We don’t much care for Facebook so we would not recommend this but it is your option to do so.
Step 2: Once Logged in, we recommend setting up your Profile.
Fill out your Profile information and upload a picture. You don’t have to upload the picture but people trust what they can see more than not so it may help your items sell more quickly. We strongly recommend providing some basic information on your seller account about you. Again, not required, but it will likely help you sell.
To get to your Profile, hover your mouse over your image in the upper right corner of the site. From here four options will appear. Select “Profile”.
You will then see the below screen (minus the content) where you will want to click “Edit profile”.
From here you will see the below editing screen where you can enter your information and write your About you. Note: Personal information is not disclosed unless you do a transaction as a buyer. It is entered simply to speed up any buying process.
Step 3: Setup Your Payment System to Receive Payments via Paypal and Stripe
You will need to set up your personal account through the Paypal and Stripe system to accept Paypal and Stripe payments. Setting up both ensures that folks can pay you via as many methods as possible. Some folks do not want a Paypal account and are actually quite militant about it (Bullion TP experienced this). We completely understand this as Paypal is a part of the global bullying hegemony power structure, but at the moment it is one of the best options (“Paris vaut une messe.”). Bullion TP has every intention of having more options in the future. If you really don’t like PayPal, Stripe is an alternative to accept credit card and debit payments but you will find that their politics are unfortunately similar to Paypal.
First, select the Settings box after clicking on your image in the upper right corner of the screen like in the image below.
Note: You will not see an “Admin panel” option as that is exclusive to Bullion TP for managing the site.
Next, go to Payments in the left column list.
From the Payments section you should see the following screen:
Set up PayPal Seller Account
To setup your PayPal account, select the Connect Paypal account button on the Payments tab like in the circled picture below. .
This button will now appear below the one you clicked. Select the circled new button to connect your Paypal account.
This will take you to Paypal’s account to login. Login or create a new Paypal account. Follow Paypal’s instructions to set up your account. Go back to the dashboard to ensure your listings are able to accept Paypal and its working. If you have an issue, please email Bullion TP at info@bulliontp.com. Note: Some things may require Paypal and not our guidance and other issues may require us to discuss them with our tech partners so patience is requested.
ALREADY CONNECTED TO PAYPAL
If your Paypal account is already connected or after you set it up you will need to convert it to a Business Account if it is not one already. This allows you to receive payments.
Here are Paypal’s directions on how to convert your account to a Business account. It’s very easy.
Sometimes there are minor bugs and you may need to confirm things a few times.
Set up Stripe Accounts
To set up a Stripe account to accept credit card and debit payments directly, first select the “Add bank details” from the Payments section.
You will then see a screen like below to fill in your personal details. None of this information is made public, so you are aware. It is all to confirm your bank account details and get you paid when someone buys your items.
After you fill out these initial details a larger box opens like below:
Here you will enter your bank details to get you paid into your bank account when folks use debit and credit cards directly and not Paypal.
The fastest way to get your routing number and account number is to grab your checkbook and enter the numbers based on the convention in the image below:
When you are done filling out your details, click Save Details.
Note: There is a bug that is on Stripe’s side, not Bullion TP’s, that may inform users that their account is not ready or does not have full permissions to receive payments. We apologize for this but there is an easy solution for most users. If this happens, Click on the ‘Edit Details” text below the message like in the screenshot below.
Once open, you may see that your routing number or account number have disappeared. They may also be there. Either way, what the system wants you to do is reenter the data for both and hit “Save details.” YOU MAY HAVE TO DO THIS TWICE to get it to take. It’s ridiculous, we know. This is why medium term we intend to build our own payment processor which will solve this and lower seller fees.
You may want to contact Stripe if you have further issues. Feel free to email Bullion TP and we will do what we can to help and put pressure on our providers to do so as well but please realize that at the moment we do not have complete control over this situation. With your loyalty when selling your precious metals and other valuables, soon we will.
If you have configured both payment methods, Paypal and Stripe, your Payments screen will look like this:
Please note that you can edit these details to change your bank account or Paypal at any time via the blue buttons in the screenshot above.
Step 4: Post a Listing
Wheh. Yeah, it is laborious, we know. Now you are ready to post a listing. In the upper right hand corner of the screen on any page click the “+Post a new listing” blue button.
You will then be asked to choose the category to post in:
If there is another category you would like to post in that does not exist that is related to precious metals and related valuables, feel free to email Bullion TP and we will consider adding it.
Subcategories can then be chosen like in the subcategories screenshot below for silver:
If there is another subcategory you would like to post in that does not exist that is related to precious metals and related valuables, feel free to email Bullion TP and we will consider adding it.
You now fill out all details about the item you are selling like in the image below.
Lastly, you will want to add pictures by dragging them into the “Select file” boxes or clicking “Select file”. If you need to add more photos than two, click the “+Add more” button.
After this, your image will be posted to the marketplace and you can see it there.
Step 5: Viewing or Changing a Listing
To view your listings, go to Settings->Listings (see the Step 2 section above for how to get to Settings).
From here, you can see all your listings and edit them by selecting the pencil icon on the far right next to the listing you want to edit.
Step 6: Someone bought your listing
The way Bullion TP is set up right now, when a buyer purchases your listing their payment is verified first. You are asked to login and confirm that you have the inventory to sell to them. While we realize that this is a hassle, it prevents the sale of more items than you have and the necessity of issuing refunds.
You will receive a message in your email box and all you have to do is login and confirm the transaction.
The money will be held by Paypal or Stripe until the Buyer receives the item and ”Mark as completed’ the transaction. You may want to follow up with the Buyer to do this. After 14 days, if the Buyer has not submitted a dispute and has therefore presumably received their precious metals, the transaction will automatically be marked as completed.
After 14 days or the transaction has been “Mark as completed” by the buyer, you will receive a deposit of your money into your Paypal account or your bank account, depending on how the Buyer paid you.
Note: the approximate fee paid in total for selling is 7%. This includes a 4% Bullion TP commission and a 2.9% + $0.30 for payment processing fees to Paypal or Stripe. This is higher than we would like and we intend to build a payment processor in the future to reduce this materially. It is still lower than eBay at around 10% of the transaction all in. In addition, you are not supporting Pierre Omidyar or eBay and its anti-USA globalist politics.
Best Practices for Successful Selling on Bullion TP
- Make it known that you are a Patriot that supports the USA and its traditional and historical Constitutional setup. Most precious metals investors are Patriots.
- Be sure to check your account often for messages from buyers. Timeliness in responding will help your items sell faster. You will get an email to your registered account when contacted by another user.
- Ship your items as soon as possible after payment has cleared. This will help you get good reviews on the site which will help your items sell faster.
- Be sure and close your listing if the item you sold was the last. Otherwise you will continue to see buyers requesting a purchase from you for an item you no longer have!
- Get as many reviews as you can from buyers. This will help you sell items quicker as you look legitimate.
